With its “12 Theses,” AGORA Verkehrswende wrote a standard reference work on the mobility transition. To reach a wider audience, we gave the publication a complete makeover and turned it into a scientifically grounded infographic novel. Rudi, the space dachshund 🐶🪐, takes you on a wild journey through the numbers, facts, and arguments behind the challenges of the transport transition.
The Challenge
The Mobility Transition's Communication Dilemma
Few topics touch people's everyday lives as directly as mobility. Agora Verkehrswende faced a classic dilemma: despite 20 well-founded studies and its "12 Theses on the Transport Transition," it was reaching mainly expert audiences, while broader societal change failed to materialise. How do you translate scientific findings on CO₂ emissions, infrastructure measures, and transport policy into a language that actually moves people?
Deliverables
A New Form of Communication Is Born
The bold approach: inventing an entirely new format – the "infographic novel." Going beyond the classic science comic, we fused narrative and data so completely that the facts themselves became the driving force of the story. The 80-page work tells the challenges and opportunities of the transport transition through the eyes of Rudi the dachshund and a multi-generational family.
