Can the internet turn green? This question has occupied a Dutch foundation since 2006. Today, the Green Web Foundation fields more than seven million database queries a day in the fight for a fossil-free network. The internet causes 3.7 percent of global CO₂ emissions – yet the topic of digital sustainability often remains invisible. Ellery Studio gave this mission a face: a corporate identity that inspires hope and makes change visible.

Challenge
Digitalisation Meets Climate Action
Digitalisation is transforming our world, but its ecological footprint is growing fast. The Green Web Foundation positions itself as a pioneer for a sustainable internet, offering a wide range of resources and tools to help make websites more sustainable. Our goal was to bring this multifaceted organisation together in a coherent brand identity that speaks to developers and decision-makers alike.
