Industry focus: Digitalization & Digital Change
Digitalization rarely fails because of technology. Most of the time, it fails in translation.
Anyone who wants to shape digitalization has to translate more than tools and processes. Direction, relevance, and what changes in everyday work are the questions that really move people. Ellery Studio supports organizations that want to anchor digital transformation in daily work through employee communication, change communication, and New Work.
Where we come in
Digital transformation challenges
New tools, old routines
Besides software and processes, digital change also needs reliable employee communication. Without internal communication, tools go unused.
AI is changing expectations
Automation, assistance systems, data logic: AI communication is a leadership task. Without clear framing, uncertainty takes hold instead of curiosity.
Change needs direction
Strategies, roadmaps, and target visions often stay abstract. Employees want to know what will concretely change in their work, their role, and the way they collaborate.
Digital infrastructure stays invisible
Data centers, data flows, cloud systems, and energy demand shape digitalization. For the public, they usually only become visible when conflicts arise.
Digital sovereignty as a question of the future
Digital dependencies, platforms, and data spaces reshape the room to maneuver. Organizations need to be able to explain which digital future they want to shape.
How we work
Digitalization between technology, work, and culture
Internal communication
Telling the story of digital change from people's point of view
Digitalization doesn't work when it's communicated only as a technical changeover. We develop formats that take uncertainty seriously and make new ways of working understandable from people's point of view. This is especially visible in our support for internal communication at Berliner Stadtreinigung and in our Digital Ambassador Program for Credit Suisse.
New ways of working
Developing target visions for new ways of working & New Work
Where others end with abstract slides, we begin with visual translation. We make digital target visions, strategy processes, and the logic of change so tangible that real orientation emerges: in strategy visualizations, communication architectures, and formats for internal alignment.

Change & capacity building
Employee communication: building capacity and strengthening change structures
Change doesn't sustain itself. That's why we develop programs and formats that anchor knowledge in the system: ambassador approaches, internal communication building blocks, trainings, toolkits, and scalable tools for change and knowledge transfer. For Credit Suisse, Digital Horizons became an ambassador program that carried digital future topics into the organization. At Bayer, we developed Maker Spirit, a workshop format in which leaders could experience new digital technologies hands-on and translate them into their own work.

Artificial intelligence
AI communication: making LLMs understandable and open to debate
AI is changing ways of working, decision-making processes, and expectations of organizations. We develop workshops, explainer formats, and visual models that help people understand opportunities, limits, and concrete areas of application. That turns AI from an abstract topic of the future into a practical question that can be shaped.

Digital sovereignty
Putting digital infrastructure into societal context
Data centers, data flows, smart meters, smart buildings, and coupled systems show that digital transformation has a material side. We develop formats that explain these connections and make debates about energy, infrastructure, and digital sovereignty better informed.

Foresight
Making the futures of digital societies & digitalization tangible
At the scientific and political level, too, we accompany the digital shift with strategic foresight, scenario work, and visual storytelling. This is especially true where digital development has to be thought through together with sustainability, societal guiding visions, and new technologies.
