Industry focus: Public Affairs & Political Communication

Political communication explains what is at stake

Anyone who wants to communicate societal change has to withstand tension and make mutual understanding possible. As a public affairs agency focused on political communication, Ellery Studio supports ministries, NGOs, associations, civil society actors and research institutions on issues where stakeholder communication, civic education and citizen participation meet societal negotiation.

Challenges in civic education & stakeholder communication

How we work

Between political communication, participation and societal impact

Democratic participation

Participation and dialogue formats that are taken seriously

Citizen participation is part of democratic quality. We design and facilitate formats in which different groups truly start talking with one another, whether in municipal processes, future workshops, gallery walks or multi-stakeholder dialogues. Our goal is mutual understanding, digital or analog.
Political communication

Civic education for complex societal issues

Many societally relevant topics fail not because of their content but because of how they are conveyed. In political communication, we combine analysis, storytelling and design to turn hard-to-access content into concise visual formats: infographics, campaign modules, publications, exhibitions or engagement materials that reach people without smoothing over complexity.
Societal negotiation

Stakeholder communication & future visions for political decisions

When conditions change fundamentally, linear projections are often no longer enough. Together with organizations, administrations and networks, we develop target visions and narrative future spaces that make societal developments tangible. This creates perspectives for political decisions, strategic discussions and citizen participation.

Scenarios for structural change and social innovation

What comes after coal mining? A future scenario like that cannot be worked out at a desk. It takes the people on the ground: local politics and agriculture, students and business. We facilitate participatory scenario processes with PESTEL analyses, focus groups and future workshops, and condense the results into narrative scenarios that serve as a compass for political decisions.
